The Boeing AH-6i, nicknamed Little Bird and Killer Egg  (ICAO: H500 / WAKE: LIGHT) is a light attack/armed reconnaissance helicopter. Created in Second Life by Spijkers & Wingtips and Virtual Syl Designs, the helicopter was based on the real-life AH-6i developed by Boeing Rotorcraft Systems.

Background

A member of the Boeing AH-6 series of light helicopter gunships, real-life AH-6i is the export version of the AH-6S. The AH-6i first flew on September 16, 2009[1]  and like the other members of the series, was based on the MH-6 Little Bird and MD 500 family.

Constructed from the same mesh model as their previous MD-500E helicopter, the AH-6i is the result of a collaborative effort between S&W and Virtual Syl Designs. The aircraft is equipped with realistic exterior lighting, optional emergency floatation system (EFS), opening/closing doors and animated cockpit instruments. The AH-6i varies from the MD-500E with its camouflage paints and the inclusion of rocket pods and twin miniguns (utilizing the VICE and TCS combat systems). Although not necessary for flight, the aircraft also comes with a standard S&W pilot's heads-up display (HUD). Like all S&W helicopters, the aircraft uses an incremental collective/cyclic flight system and is fully modifiable.
