Waddon Aerodrome (ICAO: SLWD) is a public airfield of vintage period located in the Courage region of --- Nautilus. The facility is a period themed Post War Era Aerodrome designed exclusively for light propeller/piston engined aircraft of the period up until the late 50's era.
Landing Advisories
- Runway Approach Bearing 200° SSW, Take-off Bearing 02° NNE.
- Runway Elevation 102ft (31m) or 36ft (11m) above Sea level.
- Designed exclusively for light propeller/piston engined aircraft to a maximum size similar to the DC-3 or C-47, Jet Aircraft Prohibited.
Background
Originally the site of the now closed Bentwaters Field Airport the new airport is named Waddon Aerodrome. The aerodrome has been designed & built exclusively by Sweecah builder also of Tsurington Aerodrome bringing another period airfield alive within secondlife.
