Linden Department of Public Works

The Linden Department of Public Works (LDPW) is a Linden Lab-backed program focused on improvements related to the experience of living on, or visiting the Linden Mainland Continents.

Background

The LDPW organizes teams of Resident builders, artists, and scripters (known as the Moles) to create new content on Linden Lab's behalf and to the benefit of all. In order to hit the ground running, the LDPW approached a number of content creators whose credentials are well-established, but from the start, its intentions were to make application to the program open to all residents.

The LDPW is responsible for building and maintaining structures such as the Second Life Road Network, bridges, monuments, public rez zones, and even airfields such as Xilted Airstrip or the USS Reprisal.
