MCALF Waldron Field was a public military airfield located in the 'Livigno' region of south-western Sansara's perpetual snowlands. The airstrip was used by the Second Life Marine Corps for the purposes of mountain warfare training and has since been dismantled and the land was abandon.

Landing Advisories

  • Large wingspan aircraft not advised.
  • SL military role-play. Use caution prior to landing as missions/training may be in effect.
  • Airport platform built within the mountains. Upper level at approx 205m.  Minimum recommended approach at 215m.

Background

Mcalf Waldron Field was a single runway military airfield located in 'Livigno'. The complex comprised of an ATC control tower, a large hangar, two helipads, and a headquarters building with additional facilities underneath. The field was used by the SL Marine Corps for mountain warfare training role-play. Public aviators were welcome to land for a visit however there were no service facilities available. In late 2014, the facility's runway was discovered dismantled. As of June 2016 the land is abandon.
