A relatively basic airfield constructed circa Spring 2014, Stow Maries Aerodrome was constructed on a levelled sandy surface with PSP (Pierced Steel Planking) overlaid to form a single, unlit and unmarked runway. It ceased operating circa June 2014 and was replaced by Pilmar Airport.
At its height, there were no scheduled services operating to or from Stow Maries Aerodrome, however charter flights may have been available on request.
